Vtg Miniature Sampler, Hand Worked; Signed And Dated 1976 ( Item # 43861 )

This is a cute little wall hanging miniature sampler. It is hand worked, in very good condition (missing the letter "j"). It has a wood frame and is signed on the reverse side: "Worked By Catherine Calef (?) 1976". It measures 2 1/16" x 2 1/4".

Old Celluloid Needle Case & Advertising Needle Threader ( Item # 38827 )

This is a plain but nice needle case in very good condition. The needle case is 2 1/4" high and 9/16" in diameter. The contents are one long needle (2") and two straight pins. The advertising needle threader has a slight bend in the threader, the lettering is in very good condition on both sides. The reverse side shows instructions for use, is marked "Made in U.S.A." and states "Can be used on sewing machines". It measures about 2 3/4" long including the threader, and is 1" at the widest part. Nice for the collector of sewing items.

Sterling Needle Case ( Item # 34237 )

Round sterling silver needlecase. Good condition, two small dents as pictured. Likely dates from early 20th century. Engraved with initials GSS. Length 1 and 5/8 inches. Free domestic shipping.

Tiny Needle Case and Thread Kit, 1930's ( Item # 34370 )

Small metal needlecase that holds wooden double-spool of black and white thread. The top of the spool opens to reveal space for needles. Color is marbelized mix of yellow and greenish. MInor chips of paint at opening edge, otherwise in nice condition. Approx 2 inches long. Free domestic shipping.

Pin Cushion Porcelain Shoe With Pastel Flowers ( Item # 42126 )

This is a nice item and in very good condition. I could not find any cracks or chips. The toe section has pastel pink, blue and yellow flowers with green leaves. It measures 3 1/4" x 2" x 1 1/2". This item is pre-owned (age unknown), and has been well taken care of by its previous owner. This item will be shipped Parcel Post rather than Priority Mail; shipping will be calculated after sale.

This thimble appears to be in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The blue in my photos is a little darker than the thimble, which is more of a pastel blue. I just could not capture the shade of blue. It measures 2" high x 1" across the bottom. The inside is marked "Circa 1927, Copyright Avon 1983".

Thimbles, thimbles, and more thimbles ( Item # 23185 )

This lot contains 17 thimbles.   Six of them are plastic advertising thimbles: four of them are advertising companies in the San Francisco region: Holstein's Pastry Shop (2), Taylor's Dairy, and Exhibit Furniture Company.   The dark red plastic thimble advertises Greer Realty, and one of the white plastic thimbles salutes Nixon for U. S. Senator.
The metal thimbles range from aluminum (1), to brass to regular thimbles.   One has a petitpoint top and a "gold" finish; one is marked The Prudential Life Insurance; one has a blue rim and is marked Vote for E.E. Roberts for Senate.
The key chain pendant opens to reveal a thimble, a needle holder and small thread holders.   While I can't be sure of age I think this is a newer piece.
