Advertising Lighter ~ Lorain (Ohio) Aluminum ( Item # 42842 )
Here we have another part of Ohio history. This aluminum lighter may have some light wear on the reverse side, it is difficult to tell. The bottom is marked "Park Lighter, Murfreesboro Tenn USA". There is no lighter fluid, you will have to supply that as it is illegal to ship it through the mail. It measures 1 1/2" wide x 2 1/8" high. It is marked "Lorain Aluminum, 4810 French Creek Road (Lorain Ohio), PH 277-8214 (before area code, which began in 1963). They are still in business.
Cedar Point OH Wood "Never Fail Lighter Guaranteed Lifetime" ( Item # 42897 )
I believe this is an older souvenir from Cedar Point, Sandusky OH. It is made of cedar and is in very good vintage condition. It is 2 15/16" high x 2 1/8" wide x 1" deep. It shows the usual minor wear of a vintage item. As you can see from my photos, the top does not fit quite square. I think this can probably be fixed by adjusting the hinge, but I leave that up to the buyer. IT IS MADE TO HOLD THE OLD WOODEN MATCHES. A fun collector's item.
