Art Nouveau Floral Napkin Ring ( Item # 41552 )
This is a nice example of the flowing lines of the Art Nouveau period. The little flowers look like Lilies of the Valley to me, but I'm not good at identifying flowers. There is no marking on the napkin ring so I am selling it as silverplate. It is "as purchased" with the patina, I have not attempted to clean it. It is approximately 5 3/4" in diameter, and a little less than 1 1/2" wide including the rims. The rims show some of the usual wear; there is one tiny ding on the rim as shown in my photo.
Vtg Napkin Ring With Scene Of People In Canoe On The Water ( Item # 41775 )
This is an old napkin ring, purchased from an estate sale. It has a scene on each side of people (perhaps children?) in a canoe, paddling in the water and chasing a butterfly. There are leaves in the water, perhaps lily pads. There is no damage to the ring. I could not find any marking as to metal content, so I am selling it as silverplate. It has a great deal of patina. Someone tried to polish it where there apparently was a price tag. I do not polish, I leave that decision up to the buyer. The ring is 5 3/4" around on the outside, 2" in diameter. and 1 1/2" wide.
