I first posted this page in December 1996 without any real purpose in mind other than to maybe find some Pierce Memorabilia. Surprisingly, the page brought me some lost relatives. In addition, I have met some very nice people interested in the Pierce Arrow.
David Overend, editor of a magazine called Auto Nostalgia and his friend world renowned automotive historian, Mr. Maurice Hendry visited. They hail from Auckland, New Zealand. Maurice is the author of "Cadillac, Standard Of the World - The Complete History", now in its 5th edition. The book is recognized as the world's premium reference on the marque, and he has also written other books on such great marques as Harley Davidson, Lincoln and Pierce Arrow. Maurice was the first person in the world to compile a history on the Pierce Arrow in book form. Maurice also owned a 1934 Pierce Arrow 12-cylinder. It is believed that Mr. Hendry's Pierce Arrow Book is no longer in print, but his "Cadillac: Standard Of The World" has just been revised and is still selling well.
Earl Snodgras is a collector of early Pierce Arrows, pre 1916 and misc Pierce antiquities. At last count he has four Pierce Arrows. Earl is a member of the Pierce Arrow Society. A link to his homesite is below.
Edmind Gabalski owns a 1926 Pierce Arrow, model 80 2 door sedan, 6 cylinder, original shape, 61,000 miles. He is the 3rd owner of this car. The 2nd owner was his father. The first owner was daughter of Spencer Kellogg, who was associated with the bank which financed the Pierce Arrow manufacturing facility in Buffalo, New York. Edmind purchased the automobile as a result of a conversation his father had with Spencer Kellogg. He is a member of the Pierce Arrow National Society and is an active member of that group.
