Representational artist Suzanne Blaney works in oil and soft pastel, and has been selected by jury and invitation to participate in many prestigious international exhibitions. She has won many awards for her work in both mediums, and is represented in collections throughout the nation, Europe and Mexico. Past President of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, an international organization of serious and dedicated pastellists, she remains on the Advisory Board and has written the highly commended newsletter for several years. A charter member of the National Museum of Women in The Arts, she is in the National Archives. She is listed in the 1996-97 "Who's Who in The West" and the 11th Edition of "Who's Who of Women in the World," published in Cambridge, England. She was honored in 1992 by being elected a full fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her studio is in her home, and is represented in Auburn, California, at Sunset Oaks Gallery, Old Town Gallery of Fine Art and Gallery One.
